Becca Anderson, community-led growth and marketing consultant

hi, i’m becca

About

Hi, I’m Becca.

I help founders and small teams build the marketing systems that move the right people from discovering your business to trusting it, taking action and coming back.

Usually that starts with something a little messy. Maybe marketing should be doing more, but you’re not sure where the problem is. Content is happening without much strategy. A community exists but isn’t contributing to the business. The customer journey has gaps. Or good ideas sit in the backlog because nobody has time to make them happen.

That’s where I come in. I work across community-led growth, content, lifecycle and marketing strategy — combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. That might mean researching your customers, figuring out positioning, building a strategy, launching a community, improving a lifecycle journey, creating better marketing systems, or being the extra brain and pair of hands that gets things moving.

I’ve spent 4+ years building communities, campaigns and marketing systems inside a professional community business, then struck out independently to support founders and small teams across the UK and EU.

Why Poppy’s Playbook?

Becca Anderson is a very common name. The suitable domains were taken, so I named the business after my cat, Poppy. You’ll likely see her on calls — she loves to yap and be involved.

What people I’ve worked with say

Recommendations from my managers, teammates, and the founders I’ve worked with, originally written on LinkedIn.

  • What makes Becca exceptional isn’t just execution. She became a genuine thought partner - someone I’d have long conversations with about where the community and what we’re building should go, who would then take those ideas and make them better in practice. That combination of care, judgment, and follow-through is genuinely rare.

How I work

Working session

£150

One problem. 90 minutes. A much clearer way forward.

For when you need another brain on something, rather than a whole project. Bring me the marketing problem that's been rattling around your brain, and leave with clear, written next steps.

  • 90 minutes
  • Pre-call questionnaire + research
  • Written next steps

Strategy sprint

From £700

Something isn't working, but what?

For bigger, messier questions that need more than a call. I'll research the problem, get under the hood of what's happening and turn it into a practical strategy and prioritised plan.

  • Research + diagnosis
  • Strategy
  • Prioritised recommendations
  • Practical roadmap + handover

Build

From £1,200

You know what needs to happen. Now let's make the thing.

For defined projects that need strategy and implementation, building an email or lifecycle journey, launching or improving a community, creating a content system, or making the strategy actually happen.

  • Defined scope
  • Strategy + implementation
  • Typically 2–6 weeks

Embedded

From £1,200/month

An extra brain, and pair of hands, inside your business.

Ongoing marketing and/or community support for founders and small teams who don't need a full-time hire. I plug into your team for an agreed amount of time each month; we decide what matters most, then I help figure it out and make it happen.

  • Starting at 1 day/week
  • 3-month minimum
  • Strategy + hands-on execution

Good fit if…

  • You care about the right people, not just more people.

  • You'd rather build trust than chase hacks.

  • You want marketing activity connected to real business outcomes.

  • You're happy to be honest about what isn't working.

  • You want someone who'll do the work, not just hand over a deck.
